Apple’s upcoming Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini models are reportedly set to ship to customers and arrive in stores on Friday, October 30. The timing comes ahead of Apple’s expected introduction of the devices at an October 13 event focused on its smart home plans.
The reported launch date comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who shared the information in his Power On newsletter. Apple has not been stated as having officially confirmed either the October 30 availability date or the October 13 event details.
Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini launch timing
According to Gurman, Apple plans to make the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini available on the same day. Customers would be able to receive the devices from October 30, while Apple’s retail stores would also begin carrying them on that date.
The report does not provide additional specifications, pricing, or design details for either product. It instead focuses on the expected schedule, giving prospective buyers a potential date to watch if Apple announces the devices during its upcoming event.
Apple’s October 13 smart home event
Apple is expected to hold an event on October 13 under the “Welcome home” theme. The company is reportedly planning to use the event to introduce the new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini models, along with a smart home hub called HomeView.
The HomeView name was previously identified in a trademark filing. Unlike the two updated products, the hub is not expected to arrive in October. Gurman’s sources indicate that HomeView is currently planned for around mid-November, although that schedule could still change.
What the reported schedule means
If the information is accurate, Apple would place the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini on sale a little over two weeks after the expected announcement. That would give customers a relatively short period between learning about the products and being able to buy them.
The reported timing also suggests that Apple may be treating HomeView as a separate part of its smart home rollout. While the Apple TV and HomePod mini could serve as the first products available after the event, the hub may follow later in November.
Apple’s October 13 event and the October 30 shipping date remain expected milestones rather than confirmed company announcements. More information about the products, including their features and prices, would be expected if Apple formally unveils them.
