vivo has released a fresh batch of official images showing every color option for the upcoming X500 Pro Max, its next flagship. The reveal arrives ahead of the phone's launch event in China, scheduled for September 21.
Four colors confirmed
The company published photos of the X500 Pro Max in all four of its planned finishes. The images follow an earlier teaser a few days ago that showed off the handset's overall design, meaning shoppers now have a clear look at the device before its formal introduction.
The X500 Pro Max sits at the top of vivo's incoming X500 lineup, which the company will detail in full at the September 21 event.
What's inside the X500 Pro Max
Beyond its appearance, the phone is expected to bring notable hardware. It is tipped to run on MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro system-on-chip, positioning it among the more powerful Android devices set to arrive this year.
Photography looks set to be a major focus. The main camera reportedly uses a custom sensor co-developed with Sony, said to deliver 17EV of dynamic range. That figure suggests strong performance in high-contrast scenes, where preserving detail in both bright highlights and deep shadows is challenging for smartphone cameras.
Shared periscope telephoto
The X500 Pro Max is also expected to carry a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, the same unit found on the X300 Ultra. Reusing that module points to vivo leaning on proven components for long-range zoom on its top-tier model.
Why it matters
vivo's X series has become a reference point for camera-focused Android flagships, and the X500 Pro Max continues that emphasis with a custom Sony sensor and a high-resolution telephoto. With the design and color options now public, the remaining questions center on pricing, availability outside China, and the finer specifications that vivo is expected to confirm at the launch event.
Full details, including confirmed specifications and pricing, should be announced when the X500 series debuts on September 21.
