vivo appears to have another V80 series smartphone in development. Indonesia’s SDPPI certification authority has approved a device identified by model number V2624 under the name vivo V80 FE, confirming that the phone is progressing toward an official launch.

The certification does not list specifications, pricing, availability or a release date. It only connects the V2624 model number with the V80 FE name, so details about the phone’s design and hardware remain unknown.

What the certification confirms

The SDPPI listing is an early regulatory sign that vivo is preparing the V80 FE for the market. It follows the recent launch of the standard vivo V80 and the introduction of the V80 Lite last month, indicating that the company is building out the V80 family with multiple models.

Certification alone does not confirm where the V80 FE will launch or whether its specifications will match those of the previous FE model. vivo has not publicly announced the phone in the information currently available.

Expected successor to the vivo V70 FE

The upcoming phone is expected to replace the vivo V70 FE, which launched in March. That model features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1260x2800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The V70 FE uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset and offers 8GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. Its camera setup includes a 200MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera, while the front camera is available in 32MP or 50MP configurations.

A 7,000mAh battery is another major part of the V70 FE’s specification sheet. However, there is no confirmation that the V80 FE will retain any of these features or receive upgrades in the same areas.

When could the vivo V80 FE launch?

The certification suggests that an announcement could be approaching, but it does not provide a specific timeline. vivo may disclose the phone’s specifications and regional availability through a separate launch announcement.

For now, the V80 FE joins the standard V80 and V80 Lite as the latest known member of vivo’s V80 lineup. More reliable details will likely emerge through additional certifications or official information from vivo.
