Apple has updated the Shazam app for iPhone with two small additions: a subtly frostier app icon and a new collection of iMessage stickers. The update gives Shazam a visual refresh while adding a way to share the music-identification service’s branding in conversations.

The stickers are available through the Messages app on iPhone. They can also be used during FaceTime video calls and in other apps where the emoji keyboard is available, extending the feature beyond standard text conversations.

How to use Shazam stickers in Messages

To send a sticker in a Messages conversation, tap the plus button beside the text field, then select Stickers. From there, tap the Shazam app icon and choose a sticker to send.

The process places Shazam’s sticker collection alongside other sticker options available in Messages. Users can select a sticker directly from the panel rather than switching to the main Shazam app.

Where the stickers work

Apple says the new stickers can also be sent during FaceTime video calls. They are additionally available in other apps that support the emoji keyboard, although the exact presentation may vary depending on the app being used.

The update does not change the core details highlighted for the Shazam app. Instead, it combines a minor icon redesign with a new communication feature for iPhone users who want to use Shazam-themed stickers across supported Apple experiences.

Shazam update availability

The updated Shazam app is listed for iPhone on the App Store. Users can check the app’s listing for the latest version and access the refreshed icon and sticker collection after installing the update.
