Samsung Thailand says the Galaxy S25 series and the Galaxy Z7 foldables will begin receiving the One UI 9 update on September 28. The timing follows Samsung’s initial rollout of One UI 9 to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The date comes from Samsung Thailand rather than the company’s global One UI 9 announcement, which focused on the latest Galaxy experiences and did not provide a full schedule for older devices. As with other Samsung software releases, availability may vary by market, carrier and device configuration.

Galaxy phones scheduled for One UI 9

Samsung Thailand’s announcement lists the following devices for the September 28 rollout:

  • Galaxy S25
  • Galaxy S25+
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra
  • Galaxy S25 Edge
  • Galaxy Z Fold7
  • Galaxy Z Flip7
  • Galaxy S25 FE

The Galaxy S26 FE is not part of this update schedule because Samsung says it shipped with One UI 9 already installed. The company began distributing the software to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra before detailing the next group of eligible phones.

Galaxy S23 FE update expected by October

Samsung also says the Galaxy S23 FE will receive the update by October. That phone launched with Android 13 and was promised four major Android operating system updates, making One UI 9 its final major platform update under that commitment.

The other Galaxy S23 models were not named in the announcement, although they received the same four-major-update promise at launch. Samsung’s statement therefore confirms the S23 FE timing specifically, while leaving the exact schedule for the remaining S23 devices unstated.

Galaxy S22 remains on security updates

The Galaxy S22 series has already received its final major software update with Android 16 and One UI 8. That does not mean support has ended: Samsung continues to list the series for quarterly security patches.

One UI 9 availability will depend on Samsung’s regional rollout process. Owners can check for the update through the phone’s software update settings after the release reaches their market. Samsung’s global announcement also highlights the Privacy Alerts feature for selected models, but eligibility for that feature does not necessarily indicate that a device is receiving the full One UI 9 update at the same time.
