Honor is preparing to expand its Win product family with a new tablet featuring an OLED display, a built-in cooling fan and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The company has also shown the tablet’s rear design ahead of its full launch.

Lin Lin, head of Honor China’s Smart Life business, posted a teaser on Weibo showing the back of the upcoming device. The image reveals a square camera module and Win branding on the rear panel, although the company has not yet disclosed detailed specifications for the camera or the tablet’s dimensions.

Lin Lin confirmed the tablet will use an OLED display in replies to the Weibo post. The executive also said it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s flagship mobile platform referenced in the announcement.

Another confirmed feature is a built-in cooling fan. Honor has not explained how the active cooling system will operate or what performance targets it is intended to support. The fan suggests the tablet is designed to manage heat generated by its high-end chipset, but other hardware details remain unannounced.

The tablet will not support cellular connectivity, according to Lin Lin’s comments. It will also have a single USB Type-C port. Honor has not provided information about charging speeds, storage, memory, battery capacity or operating system features.

Design and availability

The teaser shows a flat rear panel with the camera hardware positioned in a square-shaped module. The Win logo appears on the back, tying the tablet’s design to Honor’s existing Win lineup, which currently includes the Win, Win RT and Win Turbo smartphones.

Honor has opened pre-reservations for the tablet through JD.com and Tmall in China. A reservation listing does not yet provide the complete product specification or final pricing details. Honor is expected to share more information in the coming days.

The combination of an OLED screen, a flagship Snapdragon platform and active cooling gives the Win tablet a distinct hardware profile, but its eventual appeal will depend on details that have not yet been revealed. Those include the screen size and refresh rate, the fan’s noise and cooling performance, and whether the tablet will be sold outside China.
