Honor’s upcoming Win 2 and Win 2 RT smartphones may have received certification for sale in China, according to leaker Digital Chat Station. The reported certification suggests the two devices could arrive after the original Win and Win RT launched last December, although Honor has not officially announced a release date.

The Win 2 is expected to target the highest performance tier in the series, while the Win 2 RT could offer a lower-cost alternative with a different processor and slightly slower charging. The reported specifications point to large batteries, fast displays and active cooling as key features of Honor’s next gaming-focused phones.

Honor Win 2 may pair flagship hardware with a 10,000mAh battery

Digital Chat Station says the Win 2 will be the only phone released this year to combine Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset with a battery exceeding 10,000mAh. The phone is also expected to include a built-in cooling fan and an ultra-high-refresh-rate display with “2K” resolution.

A battery of that size would give the Win 2 a notable capacity advantage over many flagship smartphones, while the active cooling system could help manage heat during demanding use. However, the information comes from a leak rather than an official Honor announcement, so the final specifications could change.

Win 2 and Win 2 RT charging speeds reportedly differ

The Win 2 is said to support 100W wired charging. The more affordable Win 2 RT reportedly supports charging of up to 90W, which would be a step down from the original Win RT’s 100W wired charging capability.

Digital Chat Station also claims that the two phones will use different chipsets. The Win 2 is linked to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while earlier rumors have associated the Win 2 RT with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

Expected Honor Win 2 display specifications

Previous rumors point to a 6.89-inch OLED display for the Win 2, with a 185Hz refresh rate. The phone is also expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded beneath the screen.

Honor launched the first Win and Win RT models in December. Smartphone launches in China have accelerated this year, and the reported certification could allow the company to introduce the successors earlier than the previous generation. Honor has yet to confirm the phones, their specifications or their launch timing.
