The upcoming vivo X500 appears to have surfaced in the Geekbench database, offering an early look at its performance, memory and software. The phone, listed under model number V2609A, recorded 2,694 points in the single-core test and 7,770 points in the multi-core test using Geekbench 6.7.1 for Android.

The listing points to a MediaTek processor, although it does not clearly identify which chip is inside the device. The vivo X500 could use the recently announced Dimensity 9600M, or it could feature last year’s Dimensity 9500. The available performance figures do not provide enough separation to determine the exact chipset.

vivo X500 may use a lower-tier chipset

The benchmark result supports the idea that vivo is positioning the standard X500 below the Pro models in its upcoming lineup. vivo has already confirmed that the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro, described as the company’s current flagship system-on-chip.

By contrast, the regular X500 is expected to use a less powerful MediaTek platform. That difference would allow vivo to offer the standard model at a lower price, although the company has not yet announced pricing or provided a full specification sheet.

The chipset distinction could become one of the main differences between the three phones. However, the Geekbench entry alone does not confirm whether the X500 uses the Dimensity 9600M or the Dimensity 9500.

Benchmark unit tested with 12GB of RAM

The prototype recorded in the database had 12GB of RAM. vivo could still release the phone with additional memory configurations when it reaches the market, so the benchmarked version may not represent every retail model.

The listing also indicates that the X500 will run Android 17 from the factory. vivo’s OriginOS 7 interface is expected to sit on top of Google’s operating system, giving the phone the company’s latest software experience at launch.

China launch set for September 21

vivo is scheduled to officially introduce the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China on September 21. The company has confirmed the Pro models’ Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, but it has not publicly clarified the exact chip planned for the standard X500.

The Geekbench appearance is therefore an early indication rather than a complete confirmation of the phone’s specifications. More details about the processor, memory options, pricing and availability should emerge when vivo unveils the series.
