Honor has confirmed the full lineup and design details for its upcoming Magic9 series, expanding the range to three models and revealing color choices, memory configurations, and a large battery ahead of an official launch on September 28.

Three models in the Magic9 lineup

After teasing the Magic9 Pro Max last week, Honor has now clarified that the series will include the standard Magic9, the Magic9 Pro Max, and a newly confirmed Magic9 Super Edition. All three are already up for pre-order in China.

The Magic9 Pro Max will be sold in Black, Silver, and Olive Green, with configurations reaching up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The standard Magic9 adds a fourth shade, Popcorn Yellow, alongside Black, Silver, and Olive Green, and matches the Pro Max with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

According to Honor, the standard Magic9 uses a rear camera layout similar to the Pro Max, though its camera circles appear slightly smaller. The phone also carries the ARRI camera collaboration branding.

What the Super Edition changes

The Magic9 Super Edition shares its color options with the standard Magic9 and appears to use the same overall design. The key difference is that it drops the ARRI branding from its camera system. It will also be offered with up to 16GB of RAM but tops out at 512GB of storage rather than 1TB.

The Super Edition slots in as an additional variant rather than a straightforward replacement, giving buyers another choice within the range.

An 11,000mAh battery in the mix

Honor confirmed that the Magic9 series will include a phone with an 11,000mAh battery, a notably large capacity by current smartphone standards. The company did not say which specific model will carry it. A recent leak, however, claimed the Super Edition is the model destined for the oversized cell.

Large-capacity silicon-carbon batteries have become a growing trend among Chinese manufacturers, and an 11,000mAh pack would push the Magic9 series toward the upper end of what phones currently offer, potentially translating into significantly longer runtime between charges.

Launch timing and availability

The Honor Magic9, Magic9 Pro Max, and Magic9 Super Edition are available for pre-order in China now, with the official reveal set for September 28. An unboxing video of the phones has already surfaced online ahead of that date.

Honor has not yet detailed pricing, full specifications, or plans for markets outside China. The company typically confirms broader availability and complete hardware details at or shortly after its launch events, so buyers outside China will likely need to wait for the September 28 presentation for the rest of the picture.
