Google has started listing hardware directly in the Play Store, giving users in some regions another way to buy phones and wearables. A new Shop devices tab appears in the Play Store’s account switcher, although the rollout is not yet available everywhere.
The store includes Google’s own Pixel products and, more notably, selected Samsung devices. Listings currently include Pixel 11 series phones, Pixel Watches, the Galaxy S26 lineup and some Galaxy Watch8 models.
Which devices are available?
The Play Store’s hardware listings are limited by region. Pixel products appear in areas where the new shopping section is visible, while Samsung’s devices are available only in some locations.
The Samsung listings include the Galaxy S26 family and selected Galaxy Watch8 devices. The presence of those products makes the new section different from a simple expansion of Google’s existing Pixel sales channels.
Google has not indicated whether the listings represent a permanent expansion of the Play Store or an early test. The available information also does not explain why Samsung is currently the only other manufacturer represented in the section.
No launch discounts are included
For now, the new listings do not appear to offer special pricing. The devices carry their regular price tags, so the Play Store is functioning as another purchasing route rather than as a destination for exclusive deals.
That means shoppers should not expect an automatic saving by buying through the Play Store. The main change is the location of the listings: customers can discover and purchase the devices through a service they already use for apps and digital content.
Google could expand the hardware store
The limited rollout leaves open questions about Google’s broader plans. Samsung’s inclusion could reflect a closer commercial relationship between the two companies, or it could indicate that Google is beginning with one hardware partner before adding others.
Whether more manufacturers appear will determine how significant the new section becomes. If Google expands the selection, the Play Store could become a broader hardware marketplace rather than a storefront focused mainly on Pixel products.
For now, the feature remains regional and appears to be in an early stage. Users who do not see the Shop devices tab may need to wait for Google to make it available in their market.
