Apple will launch Crossy Road Rush exclusively on Apple Arcade on Thursday, November 5. The new game expands the Crossy Road series with an island obstacle course built around quick challenges, hazards and fast reactions.
Apple describes the game as an experience in which players swerve, jump and smash their way through the course. The announcement does not provide additional details about its gameplay modes, progression system or supported devices, but its focus is clearly on navigating a sequence of obstacles while responding quickly to changing hazards.
What to expect from Crossy Road Rush
Crossy Road Rush places players on an island filled with obstacle-course challenges. Success will depend on moving through the environment while avoiding or dealing with hazards along the route, according to Apple’s description.
The title is a spinoff of Crossy Road, giving Apple Arcade subscribers a new game connected to the established series. Apple has confirmed that the release will be exclusive to Apple Arcade, rather than launching as a separate general App Store release outside the service.
Two more App Store games join Apple Arcade
Crossy Road Rush will not be the only game arriving on Apple Arcade on November 5. Apple also announced that KAMI 2 and Food Stylist will be added on the same day.
Both games already exist on the App Store. Their arrival alongside Crossy Road Rush gives Apple Arcade subscribers three additions to check out on one release date, spanning the new Crossy Road spinoff and two existing App Store titles.
- Crossy Road Rush: an island obstacle-course game with quick-fire challenges and hazards.
- KAMI 2: an existing App Store game coming to Apple Arcade on November 5.
- Food Stylist: an existing App Store game also scheduled to join the service that day.
Apple Arcade release date
Apple has set Thursday, November 5, as the release date for all three games. Crossy Road Rush is available to view on the App Store, while separate App Store listings are also available for KAMI 2 and Food Stylist.
For Apple Arcade users, the announcement establishes November 5 as a notable release date for the service. The main draw is the arrival of a new Crossy Road game, while KAMI 2 and Food Stylist provide two additional titles to explore when the games become available.
