Apple TV has refreshed its rotating selection of bonus movies in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and other markets. The films are available to subscribers without an additional charge through the service’s “Great Movies Now on Apple TV” section.
Unlike larger rivals with broad studio libraries, Apple TV has primarily focused on films and series produced as Apple originals. The bonus-movie section gives subscribers temporary access to a changing group of well-known movies from other studios. Apple updates the selection each month, and the available titles differ by country.
13 movies added in the U.S.
The U.S. lineup gained 13 movies in the latest update:
- 28 Days Later
- American Gangster
- Black Hawk Down
- Blood Diamond
- Fallen
- Fury
- Going the Distance
- Good Will Hunting
- Insomnia
- Jurassic World
- Taxi Driver
- The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
- Tropic Thunder
Seven movies from the previous rotation remain available in the U.S.: A Beautiful Mind, A League of Their Own, Definitely Maybe, I, Robot, Master and Commander, The Rookie and The Sixth Sense.
Movie selection varies by country
Subscribers outside the U.S. receive different catalogs. Canada’s current selection includes Catch Me If You Can, Ford v Ferrari, Godzilla, Inception, Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, Little Miss Sunshine, Rocketman, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Martian, The Proposal, The Social Network, The Town and War of the Worlds.
In the Philippines, one of the movies included in the rotation is Ready Player One, according to a post on X. The different catalogs mean subscribers may see substantially different options depending on their account’s country.
Apple TV subscription price
The refreshed movie selection comes as Apple TV costs $14.99 per month in the U.S. That price is considerably higher than the $4.99 monthly fee charged when the service launched in 2019.
For subscribers already paying for Apple TV, the rotating films provide another reason to check the service each month. However, the bonus section remains a limited selection rather than a permanent, comprehensive catalog of studio movies. Titles can also leave when the next monthly update arrives.
