Apple has released the first public betas of iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, tvOS 27.2, and watchOS 27.2. The releases arrive one day after Apple provided the second beta builds to developers, giving members of its public testing program an early look at the next software updates.

Users who want to try the software can sign up through Apple’s beta testing website. Once enrolled, they can download the appropriate beta from the Software Update section in the Settings app on each supported device.

iOS 27.2 adds Apple’s redesigned Health app

The most notable change in iOS 27.2 is the redesigned Health app Apple introduced at its September iPhone event. The updated app is organised around new Insights and Longevity tabs, which provide additional ways to view health and fitness information.

The update also adds Health Age. Apple says the feature uses a user’s health metrics to estimate a fitness age and compare it with their actual age. The feature is intended to give users another way to interpret their existing health and fitness data within the app.

Siri expands to more languages

Apple is also adding broader language support for Siri AI in the Apple TV app and related software updates. Siri AI is now available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, expanding the number of languages supported by the feature.

The Apple TV app also gains new profile options, although Apple has not detailed those changes further in the information provided with the public beta release.

How to install the public beta software

Public beta testers must first register through Apple’s beta testing website. After registration, the beta releases appear through Software Update in the Settings app on the relevant iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Watch.

As with any pre-release software, these builds are intended for testing rather than general deployment. Users considering installation should account for the possibility that some features may change before the final releases become available. Apple’s current public beta program covers multiple platforms, allowing testers to evaluate the updates across its device ecosystem.

The first public builds include additional changes beyond the redesigned Health app, new Apple TV profile options, and expanded Siri AI language support. Apple’s beta testing program will provide further opportunities to evaluate those features as development continues.
