Apple has introduced the Apple Home Collection, a lineup of smart-home accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The range includes cameras, a video doorbell, a smart deadbolt, thermostats and temperature and humidity sensors, all designed to work with Apple’s new HomeView home hub.

Apple says the devices use premium materials and a minimal design. Owners can set them up with a single tap from an iPhone, then control them through the Home app or Siri. The collection is scheduled to become available in December, although some accessories will not arrive until early 2027.

Apple Home Collection cameras and doorbell

The LG Video Doorbell costs $249.95 and uses two cameras to capture visitors and packages. Its front camera records at 2.5K resolution, while the lower camera records in HD. A built-in spotlight is included, and the doorbell can play its chime through HomeView, HomePod or HomePod mini.

The collection also includes three standalone cameras. The $299.95 LG Outdoor Cam supports low-color night vision and can be positioned at multiple angles. The $199.95 LG Indoor Cam can tilt upward when people are home to help avoid recording them, then tilt downward after they leave. That behavior uses geofencing, but users can also control it in the Home app or adjust it manually.

The $399.95 LG Floodlight Cam has two floodlights that turn on when motion is detected, along with low-color night vision. Camera footage and activity can be viewed in the Home app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and HomeView. The cameras also work with iCloud+ plans.

Smart lock works with the video doorbell

The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock costs $349.95 and includes ultra-wideband technology. Apple says it can unlock automatically as the homeowner approaches, without requiring a tap. It also supports PIN entry and has a concealed backup key slot.

Sensors can determine whether the door is open or closed and can detect tampering. The lock and video doorbell can operate together, allowing residents to see who is outside and unlock the door when appropriate.

Thermostats support room sensors

Both LG and Schneider Electric are offering thermostats priced at $199.95. Each supports Apple’s Adaptive Temperature feature and can use separate temperature and humidity sensors, priced at $39.95 each, to measure conditions in multiple rooms.

In the United States, the LG thermostat can activate heating or cooling during lower-cost periods for customers with a compatible utility plan. The source material does not specify equivalent utility-plan functionality for Schneider Electric’s model.

Availability and HomeView integration

The accessories are built around HomeView, which Apple describes as its new home hub. The products can also be managed through Apple’s Home app and Siri, giving users a single control system for the collection.

Apple says the Apple Home Collection will begin arriving in December. Some products will follow in early 2027, so availability will vary across the lineup.
