Apple’s new HomeView smart home hub will be available in four colors as a tabletop device, but the wall-mounted version will be offered in only two finishes. Both models launch in the United States on November 13 for $299.

The tabletop HomeView comes in silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray. Apple includes a color-matched USB-C cable with each finish, giving the accessories a coordinated look with the device.

HomeView tabletop colors and design

The tabletop model uses an anodized aluminum body and combines a 7-inch Liquid Retina display with a domed speaker base. A stainless steel hinge connects the screen to the base and lets users adjust the display for different countertop, nightstand, or side-table placements.

That adjustable design gives the tabletop version a choice of four finishes as well as flexibility in where the screen is positioned. Starlight and rose pink, however, are not available for the wall-mounted configuration.

Wall-mounted HomeView has two finishes

The wall-mounted HomeView is limited to silver and space gray. It keeps the same 7-inch display as the tabletop model and attaches to a wall using mounts from Schneider Home.

For shoppers deciding between the two versions, color selection will therefore depend on how HomeView is intended to be installed. The full finish range is reserved for tabletop use, while wall-mounted buyers must choose between the two darker or more neutral options.

Price and release date

Apple lists both HomeView models at $299 in the United States, with availability beginning November 13. The shared price means the main distinctions between the configurations are their installation method, included tabletop hardware, and available finishes.

Customers who want to move the device between rooms or place it beside a bed or on a table can choose from all four colors. Those planning a permanent wall installation will need to select either silver or space gray and use a Schneider Home mount.
