Apple’s new fourth-generation Siri Remote is available to order for $59 in the United States, with orders listed for delivery on November 13. The remote works with every Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K model released since 2015.
The updated accessory keeps the same overall design, button layout, and USB-C charging port as the current Siri Remote. Its main upgrade is support for Apple’s Find My app, giving users a way to locate the remote when it is misplaced.
Which Apple TV models support the new Siri Remote?
Apple says the new Siri Remote is compatible with the following models:
- Apple TV 4K, fourth generation
- Apple TV 4K, third generation
- Apple TV 4K, second generation
- Apple TV 4K, first generation
- Apple TV HD
That compatibility covers Apple’s Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K lineup released since 2015. Owners of supported devices can purchase the remote separately rather than replacing the Apple TV itself.
Find My and Precision Finding come to the remote
The new Siri Remote can be added to the Find My app. If it goes missing, users can use a compatible iPhone to follow on-screen directional arrows toward its location through Apple’s Precision Finding feature.
The remote also includes a speaker that can play a sound, providing another way to locate it around the home. Together, these features address one of the most common frustrations with small streaming-device remotes: finding them after they have been left between cushions, in another room, or elsewhere nearby.
iPhone requirements for Precision Finding
Apple says Precision Finding for the Siri Remote requires an iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, or an iPhone 17 or later. The iPhone 17e is excluded from the compatibility list.
Users with other iPhone models may not be able to use Precision Finding, although the remote’s broader Apple TV compatibility remains unchanged. The listing does not indicate that the new remote changes how Apple TV itself operates.
Price and availability
The new Siri Remote costs $59 through Apple’s online store in the United States. Apple lists November 13 as the delivery date for current orders. Aside from Find My support and the added speaker, the remote retains the familiar design and USB-C charging connection.
For Apple TV owners who frequently misplace their remote, the location features are the clearest reason to upgrade. For everyone else, the unchanged design and compatibility make it a replacement option rather than a major redesign of the Apple TV control experience.
