The standard Xiaomi 18 is reportedly being prepared for a separate December launch, with a specification sheet that includes two 200MP rear cameras, a next-generation Snapdragon chipset and a 7,200mAh battery. The details come from tipster Panda is Bald on Weibo, after Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi 18 Pro series in China without the standard model.

If accurate, the base Xiaomi 18 would share the dual-200MP camera approach tipped for the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Xiaomi has not confirmed the phone’s launch timing or specifications.

Dual 200MP rear cameras

The Xiaomi 18 is said to use a 200MP primary camera built around a 1/1.28-inch sensor. That camera would be joined by a 200MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.

A 50MP ultrawide camera is also tipped for the rear camera system. The reported combination would give the standard model a high-resolution setup across its main and zoom cameras, rather than reserving the highest-resolution sensors for Xiaomi’s Pro-branded phones.

Snapdragon chip and 1.5K display

According to the tip, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. The device is also expected to feature a 6.4-inch M11 display with a 1.5K resolution.

The available information does not specify the display’s refresh rate, brightness, memory configurations or storage options. Those details remain unconfirmed, as do the phone’s design and software features.

Large battery and reported launch timing

The Xiaomi 18 is tipped to pack a 7,200mAh battery and support 100W wired charging. That would give the reported standard model a larger battery than many premium smartphones, although real-world endurance will depend on the display, chipset and software tuning.

Panda is Bald has reiterated that Xiaomi plans to launch the phone in December. The timing would separate the standard Xiaomi 18 from the Pro series announcement in China last week, reversing the launch pattern from last year, when the base model was included in the initial announcement.

Until Xiaomi provides official information, the camera specifications, chipset, battery capacity and release schedule should be treated as unconfirmed reports.
