vivo has added the Y600i to its Y600 smartphone lineup in China, giving the budget-focused series a standout 8,000mAh battery. The phone also features a 6.87-inch 120Hz LCD display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 hardware and dual-SIM 5G connectivity.
The Y600i joins the recently introduced vivo Y600 Turbo and Y600 Pro. It is currently available through vivo’s Chinese online store in Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Stardust finishes.
vivo Y600i specifications
The phone uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB, with the larger configuration using UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD card slot is also included for additional storage.
On the front, the Y600i has a 6.87-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The larger display and high refresh rate are aimed at making scrolling and motion appear smoother, although vivo has not listed a higher-resolution panel in the available specifications.
8,000mAh battery and cameras
The 8,000mAh battery is the phone’s main hardware feature. It supports 44W wired fast charging, giving the Y600i a larger battery capacity than is typical for many smartphones in its price range.
Photography is handled by a 50MP rear camera with autofocus, while an 8MP camera sits on the front for selfies and video calls. The phone runs Android 16 with vivo’s OriginOS 6 software and includes several AI features.
Price and availability in China
vivo lists the Y600i at CNY 1,699, or about $255, for the 6GB/128GB version. The 6GB/256GB model costs CNY 1,999, approximately $300. Both prices are for the Chinese market, and the available announcement does not provide international release details.
Other hardware includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP69 rating, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-SIM 5G support. The combination of a high-capacity battery, expandable storage and water and dust protection gives the Y600i a practical focus within vivo’s Y600 range.
