vivo has listed a new Y32 on its Bangladesh website, introducing a budget-focused smartphone with an unusually large 8,000 mAh battery. The phone is distinct from the Y32 released in 2021, despite reusing the same model name.

The new vivo Y32 combines its large battery with 44W wired charging, a 120Hz LCD display and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. vivo has not listed pricing or broader availability details on the product page referenced here.

vivo Y32 specifications

The phone has a 6.87-inch LCD screen with a 720 by 1592 pixel resolution. Its display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a quoted peak brightness of 1,300 nits.

Photography is handled by a 50MP main camera on the back, accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor. The front-facing camera has an 8MP resolution. The rear camera specifications do not identify the purpose of the 2MP sensor.

Inside, the Y32 uses Unisoc's T7300 chipset. It will be available with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while storage comes in a 128GB configuration using UFS 2.2. A microSD card can be used to expand the storage.

Large battery and durable design

The 8,000 mAh battery is the phone's headline hardware feature. It supports 44W wired charging, although vivo's listing does not provide a charging-time estimate.

A fingerprint scanner is built into the power button on the side of the device. The Y32 will be sold in Twilight Red and Sunset Orange finishes.

Its IP68 and IP69 ratings indicate that vivo is positioning the phone for stronger resistance to dust and water than many basic smartphones. The listing does not provide additional durability claims beyond those ratings.

Software and availability

The vivo Y32 runs Android 16 with the company's OriginOS 6 interface. The Bangladesh product listing confirms the phone's hardware and software configuration, but does not state its price, sales date or whether it will launch in other markets.

The model's combination of a high-capacity battery, a high-refresh-rate display and expandable storage gives it a practical focus. However, its relatively modest 720p screen resolution and entry-level memory options place it below more premium devices on paper.
