New camera samples from the vivo X500 Pro Max provide an early look at the phone’s imaging capabilities following the X500 series unveiling in Shanghai. The collection spans the handset’s main, ultrawide and telephoto cameras, giving prospective buyers a better sense of how the three lenses handle different shooting perspectives.
The images are not intended to replace a full camera review. Instead, they offer a broader selection of real-world examples from the phone, including standard shots, wide-angle scenes and telephoto images captured at different levels of magnification.
What cameras does the vivo X500 Pro Max have?
The X500 Pro Max uses a triple-camera setup on its rear panel. Its primary camera combines a 50MP sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches with a 24mm equivalent lens. The lens has an f/1.6 aperture and optical stabilization, while the sensor uses LOFIC, or Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor, technology.
LOFIC is designed to improve dynamic range by helping the sensor handle a broader range of light levels. That could be particularly useful in scenes containing bright highlights and darker areas, although the sample gallery alone is not a detailed technical assessment of the system.
Telephoto camera targets long-range detail
The phone’s telephoto camera is built around a 200MP 1/1.4-inch sensor paired with an 85mm equivalent f/2.7 lens. It is the highest-resolution camera in the rear array and is positioned to handle portraits and distant subjects.
The telephoto gallery includes photos taken at the native 85mm focal length, along with examples that use digital zoom. Some images were also captured with teleconverter lenses, so the results should not all be treated as direct comparisons of the phone’s standard telephoto performance.
That distinction matters when judging detail and image processing. Digital zoom and additional optics can change the appearance of a shot compared with an image captured only through the built-in 85mm lens.
Ultrawide samples complete the gallery
The third camera is a 50MP ultrawide unit with a 1/2.75-inch sensor and a 15mm equivalent f/2.0 lens. Its wider field of view is suited to architecture, landscapes and group photos where the standard camera cannot capture enough of the scene.
The X500 Pro Max’s overall setup is positioned close to the imaging hardware found on the vivo X300 Ultra. However, the X300 Ultra retains an advantage in the main and ultrawide camera areas, according to the comparison provided alongside the samples.
vivo has also shown the X500 Pro Max with a Creator Kit, adding another part of the phone’s photography-focused presentation. A complete evaluation will require testing autofocus, exposure consistency, night photography, video and zoom quality across controlled and everyday conditions.
