The vivo X Fold6 is now available globally, and the foldable phone has arrived for review with a case, an 80W charger and a USB-A to USB-C cable in the box. Testing is just beginning, but vivo's latest foldable already stands out for its battery capacity and camera hardware.
The included case covers the phone's rear section, as is common with foldable accessories. Its textured finish provides additional grip, while the bundled charger is a useful inclusion at a time when many premium phones ship without one.
How the vivo X Fold6 compares with the Honor Magic V6
One of the most direct alternatives to the vivo X Fold6 is the Honor Magic V6. The two foldables are similar in size and offer broadly comparable capabilities, although each takes a different approach to design and features.
Vivo has an advantage in battery size and main-camera hardware. Its primary camera uses a 200MP sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches, compared with the Honor's 50MP, 1/1.56-inch main sensor. The X Fold6 also includes a 70mm zoom camera, placing its telephoto hardware toward the upper end of the current foldable-phone market.
Honor's competing phone uses matte displays on both the cover and inner screens. That finish may appeal to some users, while others may prefer the look and feel of more conventional glossy panels. The choice ultimately comes down to personal preference.
Design, displays and expected price
In hand, the vivo X Fold6 reportedly feels solid and close to a regular-sized smartphone when folded. Its footprint is described as similar to a Galaxy S26+, although the foldable is necessarily thicker and heavier. At 228 grams, however, it remains relatively manageable for its class.
The phone combines a compact cover display with a larger folding screen. Alongside the camera specifications, vivo's Zeiss branding suggests that imaging will be one of the main areas to watch during the full review. Early impressions of the main camera are promising, but real-world testing has not yet been completed.
Vivo's final global pricing had not been confirmed at the time of the report. The expected price is around €2,200, while the Honor Magic V6 was listed at €1,650, giving Honor a substantial price advantage. That gap could have a major effect on the X Fold6's competitiveness once official pricing is available.
Full testing is still to come
The review process will examine the X Fold6's cameras, battery life and broader day-to-day performance. Availability and final pricing may also be clearer by the time testing is complete. For now, the phone presents a well-equipped alternative to Honor's foldable, with its strongest apparent advantages in battery capacity and main-camera hardware.
