vivo has unveiled the Watch 6, a 45mm smartwatch with titanium and stainless steel case options, a sapphire crystal display cover, and a 505mAh battery. The company launched it alongside the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max in China.
The Watch 6 uses vivo’s proprietary BlueOS 4.0 software and is available in versions with or without mobile data. The titanium model includes eSIM connectivity as standard, while buyers can choose whether to add mobile data to the stainless steel version.
vivo Watch 6 display and sensors
The smartwatch has a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with a 466 by 466 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. vivo lists a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, while the display’s bezel measures 1.49mm. A sapphire crystal layer sits above the screen for added resistance to scratches.
Health and motion tracking are handled by an optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensor, an accelerometer, and a gyroscope. The Watch 6 also includes a geomagnetic sensor, barometer, and ambient light sensor.
For connectivity, the watch supports Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual-frequency GPS. It also has a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling features that require audio input or output. The eSIM version adds mobile data support without relying solely on a paired phone.
Battery life and BlueOS 4.0
The 505mAh battery is rated for up to 21 days with light use, according to vivo. That estimate falls to six days when the Always-On Display is enabled and four days when using eSIM connectivity.
These figures vary according to how the watch is used, but the different estimates show the impact of the display and mobile connection on endurance. BlueOS 4.0 provides the software platform for the Watch 6, although the announcement does not detail its supported apps or features.
vivo Watch 6 price and availability
The stainless steel Watch 6 is offered in Wilderness and Moonlight colorways. The version without mobile data costs CNY 999, equivalent to about $149, while the eSIM model costs CNY 1,399, or about $208.
The titanium case is available only with mobile data and is priced at CNY 1,999, approximately $298. vivo has not confirmed whether the Watch 6 will launch officially outside China, so international availability remains uncertain.
