Google has confirmed that its next Fitbit fitness tracker, the Fitbit Edge, will launch on October 12, 2026. The company announced the date through the Google Health account on X, ending weeks of leaks about the device’s design, specifications and expected pricing.

“Get an Edge on your health,” Google Health wrote in its teaser post, alongside the date “10.12.26.” Google has not yet published a full feature list or pricing announcement, so several details about the tracker remain based on earlier reports and should be treated as unconfirmed until launch.

Fitbit Edge rumored specifications

According to the leaked specifications, the Fitbit Edge will have a 1.34-inch AMOLED display and battery life of up to seven days. That figure is reportedly reduced to two days when the always-on display is enabled.

The tracker is also expected to offer 40 built-in exercise modes, Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS. Personalized coaching powered by Gemini is among the reported software features, potentially giving the Edge a stronger focus on guided fitness and health insights than a basic activity tracker.

Reported dimensions are 11.58mm thick, 39.22mm tall and 25.56mm wide, with a weight of 17.7 grams. The device is also said to carry 5ATM and IP68 water-resistance ratings.

Health tracking features

The leaked feature list includes standard activity measurements such as steps, distance, heart rate, calories burned and sleep. The Fitbit Edge is also expected to track menstrual cycles and skin temperature.

More advanced health monitoring features reportedly include atrial fibrillation detection, irregular heart-rhythm alerts, cardiac load measurements, fitness-level estimates and VO2 max tracking. These features would give the device a broad health-monitoring scope, although their availability and any regional restrictions will need to be confirmed by Google.

Expected Fitbit Edge price and colors

The Fitbit Edge is rumored to cost €179 in the Eurozone and £159 in the UK. Those prices have not been confirmed by Google.

The reported color combinations include Obsidian with Matte Black, Olive with Satin Pyrite, Canyon with Champagne Gold, and Fog with Polished Silver. Google’s teaser did not disclose which configurations will be available at launch.

The October 12 event should clarify the tracker’s final specifications, pricing, regional availability and the role of Gemini in its coaching features. Until then, the leaked details remain provisional.
