The upcoming vivo V80 has allegedly appeared in the Geekbench online database, offering an early look at its performance and software. The listing identifies the phone by model number V2648 and points to the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset used by its predecessor.
The benchmark appearance comes as vivo continues teasing the device ahead of its expected launch in India. A new video posted by vivo India highlights the phone’s portrait photography focus, although the company has not yet disclosed a full specification list.
vivo V80 Geekbench results
The prototype tested on Geekbench paired the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 8GB of RAM. Other memory configurations could still be offered, but the available listing confirms only the 8GB version.
In Geekbench 7.1.0, the device reportedly scored 1,070 points in the single-core test and 3,552 points in the multi-core test. These results represent a pre-release unit, so final retail performance may differ depending on software tuning and hardware configuration.
The use of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 means the V80 is not expected to move to a newer platform than the V70 based on this listing. However, the benchmark does not reveal other important details, such as the phone’s display, camera hardware or charging specifications.
Android 17 and OriginOS 7
The Geekbench entry lists the vivo V80 as running Android 17. vivo is also expected to place its newly announced OriginOS 7 interface on top of Google’s operating system.
That software combination would give the V80 a current Android foundation at launch, although the listing does not provide information about update support, new interface features or the final version installed on retail devices.
7,200mAh battery leak and India launch timing
A previous leak claimed that the vivo V80 will feature a 7,200mAh battery. vivo has not confirmed that capacity, so it should be treated as unofficial until the company publishes the phone’s specifications.
The same leak indicated that vivo could officially introduce the V80 in India during the first week of October. The company’s latest teaser says the wait is nearly over, but it does not provide a specific launch date.
vivo India’s video uses the hashtags “My Cinematic Moments” and “ZEISS Portrait So Pro,” suggesting that portrait photography will be part of the V80’s launch messaging. The teaser itself does not disclose camera specifications or confirm which ZEISS-branded features will be included.
What remains unconfirmed
- Official pricing and availability
- The full RAM and storage lineup
- Display and camera specifications
- Charging speed and battery confirmation
- The exact India launch date
For now, the Geekbench listing and vivo’s teaser provide only an early outline of the V80. More details should emerge when vivo announces the phone officially.
