vivo’s S2 FE is scheduled to be unveiled on October 6, according to a promotional page published by Indian online retailer Flipkart. The listing also provides the first look at the phone’s design, although vivo has not yet officially announced the device.
The retailer’s page places the S2 FE launch alongside the expected debut of the vivo V80. A previous report had pointed to October 6 for both phones, but Flipkart’s promotion now offers the clearest indication of the S2 FE’s timing.
vivo S2 FE design and software
The promotional image shows the S2 FE with a green rear panel and a camera island containing two lenses. The image does not reveal additional hardware details, such as the phone’s frame design, display shape or port layout.
Flipkart also says the handset will be “powered by OriginOS,” without specifying the operating system version. The phone could use OriginOS 6, based on the current software plans for vivo’s upcoming devices. The V80 is expected to become the first vivo smartphone sold outside China with OriginOS 7, making a different version more likely for the S2 FE.
Rumored vivo S2 FE specifications
Most of the S2 FE’s hardware information remains unconfirmed. Rumors point to a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is also expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e chipset and include an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Camera rumors suggest a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The reported battery capacity is 10,000mAh, which would be a notable feature if confirmed. The S2 FE is also expected to cost less than INR 40,000 in India.
These specifications should be treated as provisional until vivo provides an official product announcement. Flipkart’s page confirms the promotional timing and shows the phone’s appearance, but it does not list the complete specification sheet or pricing.
What to expect from the vivo V80
The S2 FE is expected to share the October 6 launch spotlight with the vivo V80. vivo has already confirmed several details for that model, including a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The V80 will also feature four cameras tuned by ZESS and a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W charging. vivo has not positioned those specifications as features of the S2 FE, so the two models may target different segments despite their expected launch date.
