Tecno has added two smartphones to its Spark 50 family: the Spark 50s and the Spark 50C. Both models feature 6.78-inch HD+ LCDs with 120Hz refresh rates, while the Spark 50s offers 5G connectivity and higher-end hardware. The Spark 50C is a more affordable 4G model, although Tecno has not yet announced its price or release details.

Tecno Spark 50s specifications and price

The Spark 50s is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset and runs Android 16-based HiOS 16. It is available with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A dedicated microSD card slot supports storage expansion of up to 2TB.

Its 6.78-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD has a centered punch-hole cutout for an 8MP selfie camera. The rear camera system consists of a 50MP primary camera and an LED flash.

A 6,500mAh battery supplies power, with support for 45W fast charging, reverse wired charging and bypass charging. Tecno also lists all-scenario noise cancellation, a side-mounted fingerprint reader and UPS 3.0 technology, which the company says enables up to two times faster UPI payments.

The phone carries an IP64 Pro rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. It also includes a feature called No Network Communication, allowing calls and text messages without cellular service or Wi-Fi within a range of up to 1.5 kilometers.

Tecno will sell the Spark 50s in Breeze Blue and Burgundy Red. The 6GB/128GB version costs INR 19,999, while the 8GB/128GB model costs INR 22,999. Sales in India begin October 20 through Amazon.in and offline retail stores.

Tecno Spark 50C specifications and features

The Spark 50C uses the 4G-only MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. Storage options include 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, and the phone runs Android 16.

Like the Spark 50s, it has a 6.78-inch HD+ 120Hz LCD. Tecno says the display can be operated with wet or oily hands. The camera setup is simpler, with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

The Spark 50C has a 5,200mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging. Other features include dual stereo speakers, an infrared blaster and AI call noise cancellation. Its IP68 and IP69 ratings provide stronger water and dust protection than the Spark 50s.

The phone also supports Tecno’s FreeLink 2.0 system for calls and text messages without a network connection over distances of up to 1.5 kilometers. The Spark 50C will be offered in Burgundy Red, Forge Orange, Basalt Titanium and Eclipse Black.

Spark 50C availability remains unknown

Tecno has not disclosed pricing or availability for the Spark 50C. Its storage choices and more rugged protection position it as a lower-cost alternative to the Spark 50s, but the final price will determine how the two models compare in the Indian market.
