Samsung has increased the official US prices of four Galaxy A series smartphones, extending recent price increases beyond its flagship range. The Galaxy A17, A27, A37 and A57 now carry higher recommended retail prices than they did at launch.
The biggest increase applies to the Galaxy A17. Its price has risen to $270, compared with the $200 launch price. The Galaxy A27 is now listed at $380, up from $350, while the Galaxy A37 has increased to $490 from $450.
Galaxy A series US price increases
- Galaxy A17: $270, previously $200
- Galaxy A27: $380, previously $350
- Galaxy A37: $490, previously $450
- Galaxy A57: $600, previously $550
The Galaxy A57 has received a $50 increase and now costs $600. That model had already launched at $550, which was itself $50 higher than the $500 starting price of its predecessor. The latest change puts the A57 at a price point that previously would have been associated with one of Samsung’s FE-branded phones, according to the report.
Higher prices reach Samsung’s mid-range phones
The changes affect Samsung’s lower-cost and mid-range lineup in the US. They follow price increases for the company’s high-end devices in the US, Europe and India the previous week, although the available information does not specify a reason for the adjustments.
Samsung’s US smartphone listings represent recommended retail prices rather than necessarily the prices shoppers will pay at all times. Retail promotions and other deals can reduce the cost of each model, meaning the current selling price may differ from the official list price.
What buyers should know
For shoppers comparing Samsung’s current A series, the revised pricing makes the starting point for the range notably higher than at launch. The A17’s $70 increase is particularly significant because it affects the least expensive model covered here. The A27 and A37 have risen by $30 and $40 respectively, while the A57 has moved up by $50.
These are US recommended prices; the listed changes do not establish whether Samsung has made identical adjustments in other markets. Buyers may still find temporary discounts through retailers, so checking current offers alongside Samsung’s official pricing will be important before purchasing.
