Samsung has increased the prices of its Galaxy S26 series smartphones in several major markets, reversing the usual pattern of flagship phones becoming cheaper months after launch. The increases affect the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra in the US, Canada, the UK, mainland Europe and India.
In the US, every listed Galaxy S26 and S26+ configuration is now $100 more expensive than before. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has risen by $100 for its 256GB and 512GB versions, while the 1TB model has increased by $200 to $2,000.
The prices were identified on Samsung's regional online stores. The Galaxy S26 FE has not been affected by the change.
Galaxy S26 price increases in the US
The standard Galaxy S26 now starts at $1,000 for 256GB, compared with its previous $900 price. Its 512GB version has moved from $1,100 to $1,200.
The Galaxy S26+ has increased from $1,100 to $1,200 for 256GB and from $1,300 to $1,400 for 512GB. The Galaxy S26 Ultra now costs $1,400 for 256GB, $1,600 for 512GB and $2,000 for 1TB.
Those prices are also higher than the equivalent Galaxy S25 models in most cases. The 256GB Galaxy S25 Ultra, for example, launched at $1,300, while the comparable S26 Ultra now costs $1,400.
Prices also rise in Europe, the UK, India and Canada
The adjustment is not limited to the US. In mainland Europe, the Galaxy S26 now starts at €1,100, up from €1,000, while the Galaxy S26+ starts at €1,350 rather than €1,250. The 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra has increased from €1,920 to €2,150.
In the UK, the standard Galaxy S26 has risen to £960 for 256GB and £1,130 for 512GB. The Galaxy S26 Ultra now starts at £1,360, with the 1TB version reaching £1,860.
India's 256GB Galaxy S26 has moved from ₹88,000 to ₹103,000. The 256GB Galaxy S26+ now costs ₹135,000, while the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra has increased from ₹190,000 to ₹215,000.
Canadian prices have also climbed. The 256GB Galaxy S26 now costs $1,400, compared with $1,250 previously, and the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra has risen from $2,600 to $2,850.
What the price changes mean for buyers
The increases make Samsung's current flagship range more expensive even before considering storage upgrades. Buyers comparing the S26 series with launch pricing should check the current regional Samsung store rather than relying on original announcements or older reviews.
The source material also notes that Apple and Google have increased prices for some phones, although it does not identify specific models or amounts. A further Galaxy S27 price increase is described only as a rumor and has not been confirmed.
