New leaked renders of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra offer another look at the two upcoming Android tablets and reinforce several design differences between them. The images reportedly show the Ultra with a notched display and two rear cameras, while the Plus model uses a conventional display cutout-free design and a single rear camera.
Samsung was previously expected to announce both tablets in September, but current rumors point to an October 7 unveiling instead. The company has not been cited as officially confirming that date, so it should be treated as unconfirmed.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra design and features
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears to be the larger and thinner of the two models. Its leaked renders show a 14.6-inch display, a notch, and two cameras on the back. The tablet is listed as measuring 5.1mm in thickness, according to the information shown alongside the images.
One render also mentions an IP68 rating for the Ultra. That would indicate a dust- and water-resistance certification, although the available information comes from leaked imagery rather than an official Samsung specification sheet. Additional renders show LTE connectivity for the Ultra model.
Galaxy Tab S12+ differences
The Galaxy Tab S12+ reportedly has a 12.6-inch display and thicker bezels than the Ultra. Unlike its larger sibling, it does not appear to have a notch. Its rear camera setup also looks simpler, with one camera visible on the back.
The Plus model is listed as 5.3mm thick, making it slightly thicker than the Ultra. One of the leaked images indicates 5G support for the S12+. Another render appears to suggest water resistance, but it does not show the same IP68 designation mentioned for the Ultra.

Both tablets are shown with metal bodies and support for a stylus. Those details point to Samsung positioning the two models as premium productivity-focused tablets, with screen size and camera hardware helping separate the Plus and Ultra versions.
