Samsung’s rumored Galaxy S27 lineup could keep largely familiar RAM and storage configurations, according to a report from Korea. The biggest change may be the standard Galaxy S27 starting with 256GB of storage, while the Galaxy S27 Pro reportedly gains a 1TB option previously associated with the Ultra model.

The report covers the Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra, but none of these specifications has been confirmed by Samsung. The information should therefore be treated as an early leak rather than a final product plan.

Galaxy S27 RAM and storage options

The rumored configurations are as follows:

  • Galaxy S27 Ultra: 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage, or 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage
  • Galaxy S27 Pro: 12GB of RAM with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage
  • Galaxy S27 and S27+: 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage

Based on those reported tiers, the Galaxy S27+ would offer the same options as its predecessor. The Ultra would also retain the same basic range, including a top configuration with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The reported Pro configuration is more unusual. Although the Pro is expected to sit below the Ultra in the range, it would apparently offer 1TB of storage while using 12GB of RAM. That would give it more storage than the standard S27+ but less memory than the Ultra’s highest-tier model.

LPDDR6 and UFS 5.1 may be limited

The same Korean report says Samsung still intends to use LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.1 storage in the Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro. However, those newer standards may be restricted to one or more higher-end configurations rather than included across each model’s full range.

The Galaxy S27 and S27+ are reportedly unlikely to receive the newer memory and storage technologies. An earlier rumor suggested Samsung was considering LPDDR5X memory for those two phones instead of LPDDR6, reinforcing the possibility that the latest standards will remain a premium-model feature.

Reported battery and charging details

Separate certification information from China has reportedly revealed battery capacities for the two higher-end models. The Galaxy S27 Pro is said to feature a 5,200mAh battery, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra could use a 5,700mAh unit.

Both phones are also reported to support 60W wired charging. The certification details do not establish whether those charging speeds will apply to every market or final retail device, and Samsung has not announced the Galaxy S27 family.

For now, the rumored lineup suggests incremental changes to storage availability rather than a major reshaping of Samsung’s memory tiers. Official specifications, pricing, and launch details remain unknown.
