Samsung has officially listed the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 on its Indian website, adding two entry-level smartphones to its lineup. The phones share the same specifications as the Galaxy A08, but use different model names and finishes for Samsung’s M and F series.

Both models focus on a large display and battery rather than high-end hardware. Samsung has not yet published official pricing, although a recent report indicated that each phone could cost INR 16,999, or approximately $176, when released.

Galaxy M08 and F08 specifications

The Galaxy M08 and F08 each feature a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 720x1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and compatible animations appear smoother than on a standard 60Hz panel.

Photography is handled by a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, alongside a 2MP depth sensor. An 8MP camera on the front handles selfies and video calls.

Power comes from a 6,000mAh battery, with support for 25W wired charging. That capacity is notably large for the segment and is likely to be the main attraction for buyers who prioritise battery endurance.

MediaTek chipset and storage

Samsung equips both phones with the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. Each model includes 64GB of internal storage, with expansion available through a memory card.

The Galaxy M08 will be sold in silver, while the Galaxy F08 uses a dark blue finish. Apart from the colours and branding, the two phones have the same listed hardware and software specifications.

Android 17 and long-term updates

The Galaxy M08 and F08 run Android 17 with Samsung’s One UI 9 interface. Samsung also promises security updates through September 30, 2032, giving the phones an unusually long support window for affordable devices.

Both models carry an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. That rating does not make them waterproof, but it provides some protection from everyday exposure to dust and light splashes.

Samsung has listed the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 on its Indian product pages, but availability and final pricing details have not yet been provided. The reported INR 16,999 price will therefore need to be confirmed before sales begin.
