The Redmi Turbo 6 Max could make a substantial jump in battery capacity and screen size, according to a new leak. Tipster Digital Chat Station says an upcoming mid-range smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset will feature a display measuring around 7 inches and a battery exceeding 10,000mAh.

The tipster did not identify the device by name, but the description is widely expected to refer to the Redmi Turbo 6 Max. The phone would follow the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which launched earlier this year with a 9,000mAh battery and a 6.83-inch display.

Redmi Turbo 6 Max could get a larger display

The latest leak supports an earlier rumor that the Redmi Turbo 6 Max will use a 7-inch display with 2K resolution. If accurate, that would give the successor both a larger panel and a higher stated resolution than the screen size information currently associated with the Turbo 5 Max.

The new information only describes the display as being around 7 inches, so the final size and resolution remain unconfirmed. Xiaomi has not officially announced the phone or provided specifications for it.

Battery capacity may exceed 10,000mAh

The biggest potential change is the battery. Digital Chat Station says the capacity will be greater than 10,000mAh, which would represent a notable increase over the Turbo 5 Max’s 9,000mAh cell.

The leak does not provide charging details or an estimate for battery life. A larger battery could be particularly relevant on a phone with a bigger, higher-resolution display, although real-world endurance would also depend on the processor, software and other hardware.

Leaked design matches the latest description

Digital Chat Station also described the upcoming phone as having a minimalist design. That detail is consistent with a render leaked in July, which showed a horizontal, pill-shaped camera bar on the back of the alleged Redmi Turbo 6 Max.

The handset is expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset, the same processor said to power its predecessor. That connection is one reason the unnamed phone in the latest leak is being linked to the Redmi Turbo series.

Based on the leaks so far, Xiaomi may be preparing a successor that keeps much of the Turbo 5 Max’s hardware approach while prioritizing a larger battery and display. The phone’s name, full specifications and launch timing still need official confirmation.
