RedMagic has revealed the design and color options for its upcoming RedMagic 12 Pro+ gaming phone ahead of its launch in China on October 15. The company has also opened pre-orders, giving prospective buyers an early look at the new flagship’s exterior.

In a post on Weibo, RedMagic confirmed that the phone will retain the transparent styling associated with the brand. The handset has a flat rear panel and RGB liquid cooling, while the camera housing has been redesigned to sit flush with the back of the phone.

RedMagic 12 Pro+ colors and design

The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will be sold in three finishes: Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Ice Blue and Transparent Silver Wing. Official renders show the transparent treatment across the rear panel, with the internal design elements forming part of the phone’s visual identity.

The rear camera system uses two cameras rather than a larger multi-camera arrangement. Its module is integrated into the rear surface instead of protruding from it, which gives the phone a flatter overall appearance.

Flat display and under-display camera

At the front, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ has a flat display with slim bezels. The selfie camera sits beneath the screen, allowing the display to avoid a visible cutout or notch.

That combination of a flat panel, narrow bezels and an under-display camera continues RedMagic’s focus on an uninterrupted screen for gaming. The company has not provided further display specifications in the announcement.

Snapdragon chipset and launch date

RedMagic says the upcoming flagship will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. The company also previously confirmed that the 12 Pro+ will be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, although it has not provided specific measurements in the available details.

The phone is scheduled to launch in China on October 15. Pre-orders are already available, but RedMagic has not disclosed the pricing or shared information about availability in other markets in the announcement.
