Realme says the 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition and Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition sold out through its online store in India within 24 hours of launch. Both products were unveiled only a few days earlier, suggesting that the limited-edition designs attracted strong early interest.

Customers who still want either product will need to check brick-and-mortar stores, where some remaining inventory may be available. Realme has not indicated in the announcement whether more units will be added to its online store.

Harry Potter Edition phone features a UV-reactive design

The Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition uses the same core specifications as the standard Realme 16 Pro 5G, but adds a themed exterior. Its textured brown rear panel has an Argyle pattern inspired by Wizard’s Chess, along with a Hogwarts crest.

Realme describes the phone as having the world’s first “quadra light sensing” color-changing back cover. When ultraviolet light reaches the crest, it reveals four colors representing the four Hogwarts houses at the same time.

Realme 16 Pro 5G specifications

The phone has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1272 x 2772 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a quoted peak brightness of 6,500 nits. It is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Max chipset.

Camera hardware includes a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP front-facing camera. A 7,000mAh battery supplies power, with support for 80W wired charging.

Offline availability is now the main option

The online sell-out applies to both the themed smartphone and the themed wireless earbuds. However, the available announcement does not provide specifications for the Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition or say how many units Realme produced.

For shoppers, the immediate distinction is between online and offline stock. The company’s online inventory has been exhausted, while physical stores may still have units depending on local availability. Buyers interested in the designs may therefore need to contact nearby retailers rather than relying on a new online order.
