Realme has officially launched the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition, a limited-run smartphone featuring a Hogwarts crest that changes color under ultraviolet light. The company says the design uses the world’s first quadra light-sensing color-changing technology, with all four Hogwarts house colors appearing at the same time.

The phone is Realme’s second collaboration with Warner Bros. after the Realme 15 Pro Game of Thrones Limited Edition. Alongside the handset, Realme introduced a Harry Potter Edition of its Buds T500 Pro wireless earbuds.

A Hogwarts-inspired design

The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition has a textured brown rear panel with an Argyle pattern inspired by Wizard’s Chess. Its Hogwarts crest contains the color-changing feature: when exposed to UV light, the crest reveals colors representing Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

Additional details include an engraved frame bearing the phrase “Welcome to Hogwarts” and a metal camera decoration inspired by Harry Potter’s owl, Hedwig. The phone’s software also receives a themed treatment, with custom icons, lock-screen designs, wallpapers and camera filters.

Specifications remain unchanged

Despite the extensive visual changes, the Harry Potter Edition uses the same core hardware as the standard Realme 16 Pro. It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 200MP main rear camera and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max chipset.

A 7,000mAh battery powers the phone. The Harry Potter Edition is configured with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, giving buyers a single stated memory and storage option.

Limited gift box and India pricing

Realme is limiting the phone’s custom gift package to 5,000 units worldwide. The box is styled after Harry Potter’s Hogwarts trunk and includes a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a Platform 9¾ train ticket, bookmarks, character postcards, a custom phone case and a themed SIM ejector tool.

In India, the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition costs INR 62,999 and is scheduled to go on sale tomorrow. The limited quantity and bundled collectibles make the edition primarily a collector-focused version rather than a hardware upgrade.

Harry Potter Edition earbuds

The accompanying Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition comes with a brown charging case featuring the Hogwarts logo and other themed design elements. Its specifications are the same as those of the standard Buds T500 Pro, according to Realme.

The earbuds are priced at INR 6,999 in India and are also scheduled to go on sale tomorrow. Realme has not provided additional availability details in the supplied announcement.
