Realme has given its 16 Pro smartphone a full Hogwarts makeover with the Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition. The limited model combines a brown, wizard-themed design with a large accessory bundle, custom software and a textured rear crest that changes color under ultraviolet light.

The phone is based on the Realme 16 Pro, but its Harry Potter details are the main attraction. Realme has also packaged the device inside a small trunk styled after Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

What comes in the Harry Potter Edition box

The trunk includes the phone, an 80W charger, a USB cable and a matching protective case. Buyers also receive an invitation letter to Hogwarts, bookmarks representing Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, plus leaflets connected to the first Harry Potter film.

The accessories use the same brown color scheme as the handset. Gold accents appear around the phone’s frame and camera island, giving the device a look that leans particularly heavily toward Gryffindor’s colors.

The included case covers much of the handset’s rear design, but it matches the phone and keeps the Hogwarts crest visible in the center.

A textured back with a color-changing Hogwarts crest

Without the case, the special edition’s rear panel carries the most distinctive design elements. The Hogwarts crest has a raised, textured finish and reveals the colors associated with the four houses when exposed to UV light.

The effect is strongest in bright conditions. Indoors, the crest can appear muted or even grey, while direct sunlight makes the house colors more visible. The rest of the back uses a leather-like texture in a brown shade that can look almost red from certain angles.

Realme says the diamond pattern on the panel takes inspiration from wizard’s chess in the Harry Potter books and films. The camera island also receives a small themed detail: a gold diamond between the two main lenses is designed to resemble Hedwig, Harry Potter’s owl.

Harry Potter software features

The theme continues in the phone’s software. The Hogwarts castle appears on the wallpaper, more than 30 custom icons are included, and several animations have been redesigned for the special edition.

These additions include a Harry Potter boot animation and a custom animation involving a letter and wax fingerprint. Beyond the main themed elements, the handset uses Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.

Specifications, price and availability

The phone has a 6.78-inch display and a 7,000mAh battery. Those components make the handset feel substantial in the hand, but they should also support long runtimes and a strong experience for watching video and other media.

Realme offers the Harry Potter Edition in a single configuration with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its price is INR 62,999. Availability appears to be extremely limited: all units had reportedly sold out within 24 hours of going on sale.
