Oppo has confirmed that its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max will be available globally and will rank among the first flagships to run MediaTek's newly announced Dimensity 9600 Pro processor. The company has not fully unveiled the handset yet: it goes on sale in China on September 22, with a separate international launch scheduled for next month.

What Oppo has confirmed so far

The Pro Max is already listed on Oppo's Chinese online store alongside the standard Find X10 and the Find X10 E. It is not yet clear whether all three models will reach global markets or whether they will share the same specifications. In China, the Pro Max appears in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations, with pricing still to be announced.

Based on earlier information, the Find X10 Pro Max is expected to carry three 200MP cameras — a main sensor with an f/1.5 lens and 17 EV of dynamic range, a periscope telephoto with an f/2.1 lens and CIPA 7.5 stabilization, and a 124-degree f/2.2 ultra-wide. It is also tipped to include an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and a display with slim 0.99mm bezels, down from 1.15mm on the Find X9 series and 1.45mm on the Find X8 series.

Inside the Dimensity 9600 Pro

The bulk of Oppo's announcement centered on the chip. According to MediaTek, the Dimensity 9600 Pro is its first 2nm processor, built on TSMC's N2P node, and it promises sizeable gains over last year's silicon. The company cites CPU multi-core performance up to 15% faster and GPU performance up to 27% faster, while the new NPU doubles INT4 performance for on-device AI compared with the Dimensity 9500's NPU.

Perhaps the most notable figure is efficiency: MediaTek says the CPU is up to 61% more power efficient in multi-core workloads. The chip uses two Arm C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55GHz, a step up from the single C1-Ultra core in the Dimensity 9500.

A new rendering engine debuts

Oppo said it worked with MediaTek on a feature called the Laminar Flow Engine, which will make its debut on the Find X10 Pro Max. The technology is designed to strike a better balance between responsiveness and battery life by restructuring the underlying rendering architecture and tying it more closely to system scheduling.

For buyers, the combination of a more efficient 2nm chip, a large battery and a triple 200MP camera array signals that Oppo is positioning the Find X10 Pro Max as a genuine top-tier flagship rather than a China-only release. The confirmed global rollout means the phone will compete directly with the next wave of high-end Android devices later this year.

When to expect it

The China launch lands on September 22, followed by an international launch in October. Full pricing and the final list of globally available models remain unconfirmed, so shoppers outside China will need to wait for Oppo's separate reveal to learn exactly which variants and price points will be offered.
