Xiaomi has broadened its Redmi Note 17 range in India with two new models, the Redmi Note 17 Pro and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. The launch follows the arrival of the standard Redmi Note 17 in the country last month, and both new handsets go on sale later in September.

Redmi Note 17 Pro specs and price

The Redmi Note 17 Pro features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1280x2772 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip and carries a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultrawide and a 16MP front camera.

Battery capacity is a standout at 9,000 mAh, with support for 67W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Xiaomi includes a 67W charger in the box. The phone is rated IP66, IP68 and IP69K for dust and water resistance, and it is SGS-certified to survive drops of up to three meters onto smooth granite.

Software is Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top, backed by a promise of four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The Redmi Note 17 Pro comes in Purple Vibe, Cloud Blue and Stealth Black. It is priced at INR 36,999 (about $385) for the 8GB/128GB version and INR 39,999 (about $417) for the 256GB model. Sales begin on September 17.

Redmi Note 17 Pro Max steps up battery and charging

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max shares the same display and update commitments but pushes several specs higher. It uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip and a 50MP main camera with a wider f/1.5 aperture, paired with the same 8MP ultrawide and a higher-resolution 32MP selfie camera.

Its battery grows to 10,000 mAh, with 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging. The IP66, IP68 and IP69K ratings carry over from the Pro. The Pro Max is offered in Stealth Black, Matcha Green and Secret Sunrise. Pricing is INR 49,999 (about $521) for the 8GB/256GB configuration and INR 55,999 (about $584) for the 12GB/256GB version. Sales start on September 23.
