OnePlus has launched the OnePlus N6 Lite in India, expanding its affordable N6 smartphone lineup with a 7,000mAh battery. The 4G handset joins the OnePlus N6 and N6x, and is positioned as a budget-focused model with a large display, expandable storage and a durable build.

The OnePlus N6 Lite costs INR 16,999 in India. It is offered in one configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Buyers can choose between Midnight Black and Neo Green finishes.

OnePlus N6 Lite specifications

The phone has a 6.75-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. OnePlus lists up to 900 nits of brightness in high-brightness mode, which should help improve visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

Power comes from Unisoc's T7250 chipset. The built-in storage can be expanded with a microSD card, giving users an option to add capacity beyond the standard 64GB.

Camera hardware includes a 13-megapixel rear camera using OmniVision's OV13B10 sensor and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The source material does not specify additional rear cameras or advanced imaging features.

Battery and charging

The 7,000mAh battery is the phone's main hardware highlight. It supports 15W wired charging, while 5W reverse wired charging allows the handset to provide power to another compatible device.

Despite its large battery, the N6 Lite remains 8.95mm thick and weighs 215 grams. Charging and wired connectivity use a USB Type-C port, while OnePlus has also included a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Connectivity and durability

The OnePlus N6 Lite supports dual-SIM 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner provides biometric unlocking.

For protection against everyday exposure, the handset carries an IP64 rating. It also has MIL-STD-810H certification. These ratings add durability credentials to a phone designed around affordability, although the available specifications do not detail the specific testing conditions or protections covered.

With its combination of a high-capacity battery, 120Hz display and microSD support, the OnePlus N6 Lite gives buyers in India another lower-cost 4G option. The sole 4GB/64GB model is listed through OnePlus India's product page, with Midnight Black and Neo Green as the available colors.
