iQOO has revealed additional specifications for the Pad Ultra tablet and iQOO 16 smartphone ahead of their scheduled debut in China next week. The Pad Ultra will focus on a fast, bright display and an internal cooling system, while the iQOO 16 will bring a larger main camera sensor than its predecessor.

The details were shared in a Chinese-language post from iQOO. They add to the hardware information already expected for the two devices, although pricing and other launch details have not been provided.

iQOO Pad Ultra display specifications

The iQOO Pad Ultra will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. That combination is aimed at delivering smooth motion, with the high refresh rate particularly relevant for fast-moving content and supported applications.

iQOO also says the panel can reach 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The display will have 2.65mm bezels on all four sides, giving the tablet a consistent border around the screen. The company has further specified response times below 1ms.

These figures position the Pad Ultra as a display-focused tablet, with its brightness, refresh rate and response time all forming part of the headline specification. Actual viewing performance will depend on how the panel operates outside its peak figures, but the published numbers indicate an emphasis on speed and visibility.

Active cooling inside the Pad Ultra

The tablet will include a 30mm active cooling fan. It will work alongside a 12,118mm dual-layer vapor-chamber heatsink, or VC heatsink, to dissipate heat from the device.

iQOO has not provided further information about the workloads or performance targets associated with this cooling system. Its inclusion suggests the Pad Ultra is designed to maintain temperature control during demanding use, but the company has not yet detailed sustained performance results.

iQOO 16 camera upgrade

The iQOO 16 is confirmed to use a 50MP primary camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. That is larger than the 1/1.56-inch sensor used by the iQOO 15, giving the new phone a hardware advantage for collecting light.

iQOO says the camera will support CIPA 5.5 professional-grade image stabilization. The company has also listed support for 4K live images, adding a video-related feature to the camera specification.

The larger sensor and updated stabilization are the clearest camera changes disclosed so far. However, iQOO has not shared additional camera specifications, such as the remaining rear cameras, lens details or software features.

Launch timing

The iQOO Pad Ultra and iQOO 16 are set to debut together in China next week. iQOO has not yet disclosed their prices or confirmed whether either product will be sold in other markets.
