Infinix’s next budget smartphone may be the Smart 20E, a companion to the Smart 20 that launched in March. A new leak shows the phone in four colors and outlines several expected specifications, including a 120Hz display, 4G connectivity and a 5,100mAh battery.

The leaked details come from Naija Android Arena. Infinix has not yet confirmed the Smart 20E or announced a launch date, so the reported specifications should be treated as provisional.

Infinix Smart 20E design and display

Images shared in the leak suggest that the Smart 20E will closely resemble the existing Smart 20. The phone is expected to use the same 6.78-inch LCD panel, with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.

The device is reportedly set to launch in four color options. Its leaked measurements are 8.25mm thick, while its weight is said to be 187 grams. An IP64 rating would provide protection against dust and splashes, although the phone would not be designed for submersion.

Reported memory and performance details

The Smart 20E has already appeared in an FCC certification listing under model number X6843. That listing reportedly identifies a configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and confirms that the handset will support 4G rather than 5G networks.

The leak also points to a 4GB memory option, with 6GB expected to be the higher configuration. Storage is reportedly limited to 128GB. Infinix is said to be considering an unspecified Unisoc or MediaTek Helio chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

Battery, charging and connectivity

Power reportedly comes from a 5,100mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. That would give the Smart 20E a slightly smaller battery and slower charging than the Smart 20, according to the available comparison.

The phone is expected to run Infinix’s XOS software on top of Android. Other reported features include a single mono speaker, NFC support and Bluetooth 5.2.

How the Smart 20E could differ from the Smart 20

The reported hardware suggests that the Smart 20E may sit below the Smart 20 in Infinix’s range. Its battery is said to be smaller, charging is slower and the chassis is thicker, while the display size and refresh rate reportedly remain unchanged.

Those compromises could allow Infinix to position the Smart 20E as a less expensive option, but pricing and availability remain unknown. The company has not said when the phone will launch or which markets will receive it.
