Huawei’s Mate 90 series is expected to bring four models to China on October 1, and a new leak has outlined the key specifications for each device. The details, shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, cover the chipsets, display sizes, camera hardware and design of the range-topping models.

Huawei has confirmed the launch date, but the specifications remain unconfirmed until the company officially introduces the phones.

Mate 90 chipsets and displays

According to the leak, the standard Mate 90 will use Huawei’s Kirin 9030 chipset. The Mate 90 Pro is expected to move to the Kirin 9035 system-on-chip and include a 6.75-inch dual-layer OLED display.

The Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS are both tipped to use the more powerful Kirin 9050 Pro chipset. The Pro Max is expected to feature a larger 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED panel, making it the biggest display in the reported lineup.

Mate 90 Pro Max camera details

The Mate 90 Pro Max is also expected to receive the most ambitious camera setup in the series. The leak points to a primary rear camera capable of 18EV of dynamic range, along with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

The reported Collector’s Edition is said to support a 1-inch 10x zoom lens. The available information does not clarify every difference between that edition and the standard Pro Max, but the zoom hardware would give it a distinct focus on long-range photography.

Mate 90 RS design and expected launch

The Mate 90 RS is tipped to share the Pro Max’s main specifications, including its chipset, display and camera hardware. Its main distinction is expected to be a high-gloss titanium unibody design.

A separate leak reportedly showed the RS model in White, Black and Red finishes. Those color options have not been confirmed by Huawei.

The Mate 90 series will launch in China on October 1. Huawei’s event should establish the final specifications, pricing and availability for the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max and Mate 90 RS.
