Honor has officially introduced the X9e Pro in Malaysia, positioning the phone around its unusually large 11,000mAh battery and a high-brightness AMOLED display. The handset also includes a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip, 80W wired charging and software based on Android 16.
The battery uses silicon-carbon anode technology, which allows Honor to fit the large capacity into the phone. According to Honor’s laboratory testing, the X9e Pro can provide more than 164 hours of music streaming, 35 hours of short-form video playback and over 66 hours of regular video playback.
Honor also claims the battery should retain a six-year health expectancy under average usage of six hours per day. When the battery does run low, the phone supports 80W wired charging. Its 27W reverse wired charging feature allows it to charge other devices as a power bank.
10,000-nit AMOLED display
The X9e Pro uses a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor advertises a peak brightness of 10,000 nits, although that figure is available only in isolated areas of the screen during HDR video playback rather than across the entire panel.
The display specification gives the phone a smooth refresh rate and high-resolution viewing, while the extreme brightness figure is aimed at improving visibility in specific HDR content scenarios.
Camera and performance hardware
A 16MP front-facing camera handles selfies, representing an upgrade over the 8MP selfie camera found on the Honor X80 Pro Max. On the rear, the phone carries a 108MP primary camera with a 1/1.67-inch sensor alongside a 5MP ultrawide camera.
Power comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. The X9e Pro is offered with 8GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Honor’s MagicOS 10 software, based on Android 16, runs the device.
IP69K protection and Malaysia pricing
The phone has an IP69K ingress-protection rating. Honor says its laboratory testing included 100,000 repeated water-submersion tests, though laboratory testing does not necessarily represent every real-world condition.
Honor is selling the X9e Pro in Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black. Malaysian pricing starts at MYR 1,899, or about $464, for the 8GB/256GB model. The 8GB/512GB version costs MYR 2,399, equivalent to about $587.
