Honor has unveiled the Watch 6 Pro, a health-focused smartwatch that combines a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display with continuous heart rate variability and glucose monitoring. The China-only pre-order starts at CNY 1,600 for the stainless steel version, while a ceramic-trimmed model costs CNY 1,800.

The Pro model is more feature-rich than the standard Honor Watch 6, but its 500mAh battery offers less endurance than that watch’s larger cell. Honor rates the Watch 6 Pro for up to seven days with the Always On Display enabled, or up to four days when all health-monitoring functions are active.

Dual-layer OLED reaches 5,500 nits

The watch uses a 1.5-inch OLED panel with a 466 x 466-pixel resolution. Its peak global brightness reaches 4,500 nits, while a smaller illuminated area can reach up to 5,500 nits. That should make the display easier to read outdoors, although Honor’s figures describe peak brightness rather than typical full-screen output.

The case measures 46.3mm by 46.3mm and is 11.6mm thick. It has a stainless steel body and bezel. Selected versions use two-tone ceramic sintered onto the metal at 1,400°C, which Honor says is more durable than a painted finish.

Health and safety features

Health tracking is the main focus of the Watch 6 Pro. It monitors heart rate variability around the clock and includes a second-generation blood pressure monitoring system. It also supports continuous glucose monitoring, described by Honor as CGM blood sugar tracking.

Safety features include crash detection and an alert that can be triggered if the watch stops detecting a pulse, such as during cardiac arrest. These functions add to the health capabilities that distinguish the Pro from the Watch 5 Pro, alongside its dual-layer display.

Position tracking and sports modes

Honor’s Polaris positioning system uses dual-frequency reception and three antennas. The company says this design is intended to maintain a stable signal in dense urban areas, including locations surrounded by tall buildings. Continuous position tracking can run for up to 21 hours.

Sports features include Trail Running Mode, Professional Badminton Mode, and Professional Football Mode. The watch can also be used while swimming, and its display is designed to respond to wet fingers.

Battery life and China pricing

In its maximum battery mode, the Watch 6 Pro can run for up to 18 days. With the Always On Display active, the quoted endurance falls to seven days, and using all health-tracking features reduces it further to four days.

The stainless steel model is available for pre-order in China at CNY 1,600, while the version with sintered ceramic costs CNY 1,800. Honor has not provided availability details for other markets in the supplied announcement.
