HMD will launch the Vibe2 Pro in India on September 29, adding a Pro model to the Vibe2 lineup introduced in the country in May. The company has confirmed several specifications ahead of the launch, including a 6,000mAh battery, MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset and Android 16 software.
The Vibe2 Pro will be offered with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. HMD has not provided further memory or storage configurations in the available announcement, but the confirmed specifications place the phone in the same broad segment as other battery-focused Android devices.
HMD Vibe2 Pro battery and performance
The phone’s main hardware highlight is its 6,000mAh battery. It will support 33W wired fast charging, giving users a faster charging option than standard wired charging while retaining the larger battery capacity.
Powering the handset is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset. HMD says the Vibe2 Pro will pair the processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will also retain a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature HMD has specifically confirmed for the new model.
Camera specifications
On the rear, the Vibe2 Pro will use a dual-camera setup. Its primary camera will feature a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, while a 2MP macro camera will handle close-up photography.
For selfies and video calls, the handset will include a 13MP front-facing camera. HMD has not disclosed additional camera features or video recording specifications in the information released ahead of the launch.
Android 16 and Indus AI
The Vibe2 Pro will run Android 16 out of the box. HMD has also confirmed that the phone will include Indus AI, with support for 22 Indian languages.
That language support is one of the software features HMD is highlighting for the Indian market. The company has not yet detailed the specific functions available through Indus AI, so those details may be provided at or around the launch.
Launch date and availability
HMD has confirmed September 29 as the Vibe2 Pro’s launch date in India. The phone will be available in three color options, although the company has not named those colors in the announcement.
Pricing, sales channels and the exact availability of each memory configuration remain unconfirmed in the information currently provided. HMD is expected to share those details when the Vibe2 Pro launches.
