HMD's rumored Pulse 2T Pro has appeared in a new leak, with images and specifications pointing to a larger OLED display, upgraded internals and an unusual dot matrix screen on the rear. HMD has not officially announced the phone, so the reported details remain unconfirmed.

The information comes from a post by HMD-focused leaker Smashx_60 on X. The leak also distinguishes the device from the previously surfaced Pulse 2 Pro by using a “T” in the name, suggesting that the two phones may occupy different positions in HMD's lineup.

Reported HMD Pulse 2T Pro specifications

According to the leak, the Pulse 2T Pro will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That would give it a larger and more advanced panel than the reported Pulse 2 Pro, which is expected to use an LCD screen.

The phone is said to use MediaTek's Helio G100 chipset, combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It will reportedly ship with Android 17, although HMD has not provided any software details or release information.

  • MediaTek Helio G100 processor with 8GB of RAM
  • 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage
  • 6,000mAh battery with 33W wired charging

Rear dot matrix display could be the standout feature

The leaked images show a dot matrix display on the back of the phone. The available information does not explain what the rear panel will display or how users will interact with it, but it would give the Pulse 2T Pro a feature not commonly seen on mainstream smartphones.

The reported camera setup includes a 50MP primary rear camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP secondary camera. The second sensor is described as likely being an ultrawide camera, though that function has not been confirmed. A 50MP front-facing camera is also expected.

Battery, design and expected colors

The Pulse 2T Pro is reportedly equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and support for 33W wired charging. Other listed features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers and IP64 certification for protection against dust and splashes.

The leak names three possible color options: Temper Blue, Titanium and Orbit Green. Compared with the reported Pulse 2 Pro, the T model would bring a different chipset, more memory and storage, a larger battery, a newer Android version and the rear display.

HMD has not confirmed the Pulse 2T Pro's existence, specifications, pricing or release date. Until the company makes an announcement, the leaked hardware and design should be treated as provisional.
