Google’s Pixel 12 lineup may already be taking shape, with an early leak listing screen resolutions for the standard Pixel 12, Pixel 12 Pro, Pixel 12 Pro XL and Pixel 12 Pro Fold. The information reportedly comes from entries connected to the GSMA database, although it is unclear how the display specifications became available.
The leak arrives only shortly after Google launched the Pixel 11 family, which includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. With the Pixel 12 phones likely still around ten months away from an official unveiling, these specifications should be treated as preliminary.
Pixel 12 screen resolutions reportedly revealed
According to the leak, the four upcoming devices are associated with the following display resolutions:
- Pixel 12: 1080 x 2400 pixels
- Pixel 12 Pro: 1280 x 2824 pixels
- Pixel 12 Pro XL: 1344 x 2952 pixels
- Pixel 12 Pro Fold inner display: 2296 x 2404 pixels
The same information links the phones to model numbers GC0QU, GWU59, G7U1Y and G4D5D, respectively. Database listings typically focus on identification details, making the appearance of display resolutions unusual and leaving room for the information to change before launch.
Standard Pixel 12 models could be slightly shorter
The reported resolutions point to a change in the shape of the three conventional Pixel 12 phones. Each is said to retain the same horizontal pixel count as its Pixel 11-series counterpart while using fewer vertical pixels.
That would make the Pixel 12, Pixel 12 Pro and Pixel 12 Pro XL slightly less tall than the current-generation models, assuming their physical display sizes and other design characteristics remain comparable. The resolution change alone does not confirm the final screen dimensions, aspect ratios or bezel design.
Pixel 12 Pro Fold may receive a wider inner screen
The Pixel 12 Pro Fold appears to be taking a different direction. Its alleged 2296 x 2404-pixel inner display would be about 10% wider than the inner screen on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, based on the leaked comparison.
A wider folding display could affect the device’s unfolded proportions and make it more suitable for content and multitasking. However, the leak does not provide details about the outer screen, hinge, thickness or overall dimensions.
More details are likely before launch
Google has not announced the Pixel 12 series or confirmed any of these specifications. The early timing means later leaks could revise the model numbers or resolutions, while additional information may clarify whether the changes represent physical redesigns or simply updated panel formats.
