Leaked CAD-based renders of the Google Pixel 11a suggest the company will keep its affordable phone’s familiar design for another generation. The report also says the phone will use Google’s Tensor G6 chipset, bringing it in line with the rest of the expected Pixel 11 lineup.

Google is reportedly planning to unveil the Pixel 11a next spring, so the phone remains some distance from release. The specifications and appearance described here are not official and could change before launch.

Pixel 11a design appears largely unchanged

The renders published by Android Headlines show a phone that looks very similar to the Pixel 10a. That model itself closely followed the design of the Pixel 9a, suggesting Google may be reusing the same overall hardware approach for its least expensive Pixel.

The front reportedly retains relatively thick bezels, while the rear camera island receives only a subtle shape change compared with the Pixel 10a. The phone is said to measure 153.46 x 72.35 x 9 mm. Those dimensions would make it marginally shorter and narrower than its predecessor, while keeping the same thickness.

Tensor G6 and display upgrades reportedly planned

One of the most notable changes is expected inside the phone. According to the report, the Pixel 11a will be powered by Google’s Tensor G6 processor, the same chipset reportedly planned for other Pixel 11 models.

The phone is also said to have 8GB of RAM and a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its claimed peak brightness of 3,350 nits would represent a major headline specification for the affordable Pixel range, although real-world brightness and availability of that peak level remain unknown.

A 5,000mAh battery is reportedly planned as well. The available information does not specify charging speeds, camera hardware, storage options or software features.

Possible Pixel 11a colors and launch timing

The Pixel 11a is expected to come in black, silver, green and purple finishes. Google typically gives its phone colors branded names, so those descriptions may not match the final retail names.

With a reported spring unveiling, Google has plenty of time to finalize the device before launch. For buyers considering an affordable Pixel, the early picture is a familiar chassis paired with a newer Tensor platform, a high-refresh-rate screen and a large battery. More details, including pricing and availability, have not been provided.
