A leaked pricing poster suggests Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ could launch at significantly higher prices in India. Samsung has not confirmed the tablets’ release date or pricing, but the devices are expected to be unveiled on October 7.
The poster, shared by Sparrows News, lists both Wi-Fi and 5G versions with 256GB and 512GB storage options. If accurate, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will start at ₹150,000 in India, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ will begin at ₹130,000.
Rumored Galaxy Tab S12 prices in India
- Galaxy Tab S12+ Wi-Fi: ₹130,000 for 12GB/256GB and ₹150,000 for 12GB/512GB
- Galaxy Tab S12+ 5G: ₹145,000 for 12GB/256GB and ₹165,000 for 12GB/512GB
- Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Wi-Fi: ₹150,000 for 12GB/256GB and ₹170,000 for 12GB/512GB
- Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra 5G: ₹165,000 for 12GB/256GB and ₹185,000 for 12GB/512GB
The rumored base price would represent a notable increase over last year’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Wi-Fi model. Its 12GB/256GB configuration reportedly started at ₹111,000, while the corresponding 5G version cost ₹125,000. That would put the alleged Tab S12 Ultra Wi-Fi increase at ₹39,000, although the figures remain unconfirmed.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra may also cost more in the US
The leaked US pricing points in the same direction, though the increase appears smaller. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is reportedly priced from $1,200 for the 12GB/256GB Wi-Fi model, rising to $1,400 for 512GB. The 5G versions are listed at $1,350 and $1,550.
For the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, the poster lists prices of $1,400 and $1,600 for the Wi-Fi models, and $1,550 and $1,750 for the 5G versions. The entry-level Wi-Fi model would therefore cost $200 more than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s reported $1,200 starting price.
Expected Galaxy Tab S12 lineup and hardware
Samsung is expected to bring back a Plus model with a 12.4-inch display alongside a 14.6-inch Ultra tablet. The lineup reportedly will not include an 11-inch standard model. Samsung’s recent flagship tablet strategy has alternated updates for the standard and Plus tiers, while the Ultra model has received a refresh each year.
Geekbench results reportedly point to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, described in the leak as last year’s chip, powering the new tablets. The Galaxy Tab S12+ may receive a larger battery, while the Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain its predecessor’s 11,600mAh battery and 45W charging setup.
Samsung has not confirmed any of these specifications or prices. The October 7 unveiling date also remains an expectation rather than an official announcement, so the final launch prices could differ from the leaked poster.
