Google’s upcoming Fitbit Edge fitness tracker has reportedly been detailed in a new leak, including its European pricing, color choices and technical specifications. The device is expected to cost €179 in the Eurozone and £159 in the UK, although Google has not yet announced when it will become official.
The Fitbit Edge first appeared in promotional material published by Google in August, and more detailed renders surfaced recently. According to information published by Dealabs, the tracker could occupy a similar position to the Fitbit Charge 6, based partly on its reported price.
Fitbit Edge price and color options
The Fitbit Edge is expected to launch in four finishes. The combinations reportedly match the color choices available for the Pixel Watch 5:
- Obsidian with Matte Black
- Olive with Satin Pyrite
- Canyon with Champagne Gold
- Fog with Polished Silver
The leak does not provide a confirmed release date. Google’s earlier promotional material suggests the product is in development, but the company has not publicly confirmed the full specification or retail schedule.
Reported Fitbit Edge specifications
The tracker is said to feature a 1.34-inch AMOLED display and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Its reported sensors include GPS, an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyroscope, a heart-rate sensor, SpO2 monitoring, ECG sensors, an ambient-light sensor and a step counter.
Reported dimensions are 39.22mm tall, 25.56mm wide and 11.58mm thick. The device is said to weigh 17.7 grams. It is also expected to carry both a 5ATM water-resistance rating and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Health tracking and battery life
The Fitbit Edge will reportedly track steps, heart rate, distance, calories burned, sleep, menstrual cycles, blood oxygen, skin temperature and ECG readings. Its alleged health features also include atrial-fibrillation detection, irregular-heart-rhythm detection, cardiac-load measurements, fitness-level estimates and VO2 max tracking.
More than 40 exercise modes are said to be built in, alongside automatic activity detection. The tracker will reportedly run Fitbit OS and include personalized coaching powered by Gemini.
Google is expected to advertise up to seven days of battery life. That figure reportedly falls to two days when the Always-on display is enabled, while a full charge is said to take about two hours. These details remain unconfirmed until Google provides official product information.
